In response to the recent flood emergency, the entire BDPST Group—including BDPST Hotel Management, BDPST Real Estate Development, BDPST Koncept, Waberer’s, Gránit Bank, and Gránit Assset Management—came together to support flood prevention and recovery efforts in what became the largest coordinated relief initiative in the group’s history.

Throughout the critical days, employees from BDPST and its subsidiaries worked in rotating teams at various locations, helping protect flood-threatened areas under the coordination of the Hungarian Interchurch Aid. Nearly 100 team members volunteered their time and energy. At the same time, BDPST’s F&B units and gastronomy partners provided hundreds of hot meals to support those working on the front lines.

To help those living in the flood-affected regions, Gránit Bank opened a dedicated donation account (12100011-18000737-00000000), allowing anyone who wished to contribute to do so. Alongside public donations, the bank itself made a significant and immediate financial contribution. All proceeds went directly to the Hungarian Interchurch Aid, which used the funds both for defense activities and to support those who suffered losses in what has been the most devastating flood in over a decade.

Waberer’s Group also played a key role by offering part of its logistics and transport capacities to assist in the protection efforts along the Danube. The company has a longstanding partnership with disaster management services and remains committed to supporting emergency response with its expertise and resources—especially in times when it’s needed most.

This collective effort reflects the values that unite the BDPST Group: social responsibility, solidarity, and a readiness to act when help is needed the most.
