On May 17 and June 13, we spent two meaningful volunteer days at the SOTE Bókay Street Children’s Clinic, where we joined forces to transform the hospital courtyard and the Üllői Street frontage into a more beautiful, welcoming, and colorful space.

May 17 marked our first volunteer day, when we focused on reviving the clinic’s inner garden — a vital outdoor space where chronically ill children can step outside for a moment of peace, play, and fresh air. We accomplished a wide range of tasks: we weeded and planted flowers to bring more color and life to the garden; we refreshed the clinic’s herb corner, where children can discover different plants and scents; we refurbished and assembled pallet furniture to provide comfortable resting spots; we painted vibrant wooden decorations; and we restored motivational signs with encouraging messages to uplift the spirits of young patients and their families.

Thanks to the team’s efforts, the garden is now more than just a green space — it’s a small sanctuary within the hospital, offering children a place to recharge and feel at ease. Every volunteer played a crucial role in bringing this transformation to life.

On June 13, we continued the work we began in May — this time focusing on the Üllői Street side of the clinic. Once again, a dedicated team came together to support the garden’s renewal. Throughout the day, we sanded and painted benches, restored wooden garden décor, weeded, and tidied up every corner of the garden.

We are especially proud that the Koncept team also took part in the transformation of the entire garden over the course of the two volunteer days. The result was not only a visibly renewed space, but a shared community experience as well — working together for a meaningful cause, in a great atmosphere, supporting one another throughout.
